Pamela Conrad, PLA, ASLA, LEED AP, is an internationally recognized landscape architect and founder of Climate Positive Design / IMPACT Studio. She teaches at California Polytechnic State University and serves as an Architecture 2030 Senior Fellow, advancing low-carbon, nature-based solutions that support healthy communities and resilient ecosystems.

As the inaugural American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Biodiversity and Climate Fellow, lead author and chair of ASLA’s first Climate Action Plan, and author of the award-winning United Nations guide WORKS with Nature, Conrad has earned broad recognition for her leadership at the intersection of climate and design. She is also a Harvard Loeb Fellow and a Landscape Architecture Foundation Fellow, and recently served as a faculty member at Harvard University and as a Salata Institute Faculty Associate.

Raised on a farm in Missouri, Conrad brings a deeply rooted perspective to her more than 20-year career focused on transforming the built and natural environment. After nearly a decade working in coastal adaptation, she launched the Climate Positive Design Challenge and Pathfinder app in 2019, catalyzing a global movement to improve climate and biodiversity outcomes through design.

Her work has been widely recognized and featured at United Nations climate conferences and in major media outlets including The New York Times, Forbes, and TIME for Kids, and has been honored with distinctions such as the Metropolis Planet Positive Award.

Greg Barger, PLA, ASLA, is a seasoned landscape architect with 20+ years of experience in the field. His passion lies at the intersection of design, the environment, and construction, where he thrives on creating beautiful spaces of exceptional quality, functionality, and sustainability. As the Technical Director for Climate Positive Design / IMPACT Studio and faculty at California State Polytechnic University, Greg takes the helm in overseeing crucial aspects like materials selection, constructability, and the technical implementation of Climate Positive Design strategies. Greg’s oversight has contributed to project recognition from the American Institute of Architects, Design-Build Institute of America, American Society of Landscape Architects and International Partnering Institute.

Throughout his career, Greg managed a diverse range of projects from vast wetland restoration efforts to developing sustainable green infrastructure and designing captivating public parks and plazas. His commitment to detail, constructability, and the thoughtful selection of materials allowed him to bring each project to life in harmony with its surroundings.

Greg’s dedication to continuous learning keeps him abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and sustainable practices, ensuring the studio remains at the forefront of innovation. With a strong belief in the potential of landscapes to positively impact communities and the environment, Greg takes pride in contributing to the creation of vibrant and sustainable spaces that enrich the lives of people who interact with them.

Eustacia Brossart, PLA, is a landscape architect with over 15 years of experience designing public, institutional, and commercial landscapes that interweave design, ecology, and community. Through investigations into the infrastructural possibilities of landscape, interwoven with design, ecology, and community, she has traveled the world—translating her background in cinema production and art direction into a passion for creating dynamic landscapes. Nature has always been her primary love, from a childhood spent camping in the American west, and she feels most at home wandering desert canyons.

Integral in the development of Climate Positive Design and Pathfinder since 2018, Eustacia has extensive experience analyzing and innovating site carbon footprint reductions and carbon sequestration potential. As Research Director, she is specifically interested in enabling designers to improve biodiversity, drought and flood resilience, circular water and nutrient systems, and health and equity benefits through beautiful, climate positive cities.

Eustacia has managed multiple large, multidisciplinary projects. Her work at several notable firms includes global technology company headquarters, university campuses, an indigenous cultural and educational center, prominent public and cultural spaces, urban waterfront resilience design, and a nature play space in an underserved neighborhood. She was the keynote speaker at the Biopolis Conference at Biodiversity COP 16 in Colombia, and has been a speaker for a number of educational and professional organizations.
